Family-friendly Halloween fun is heading to St Austell this autumn half term with a
lively musical party planned.
White River Place is once again hosting a free, friendly fun day designed for all
ages to enjoy, with traditional games and activities rather than spooky scares, and
plenty of music, singing and dancing to keep the kids entertained.
Head to the heart of St Austell town centre to join in the fun from 11am until 3.30pm
on Saturday 28th October and enjoy activities like pumpkin carving, face painting, a
fancy dress competition, arts and crafts, and musical dance games.
Popular local entertainers Music Makers will be running the party from 11am in
South Square, next to the entrance to the car park, and there will be some familiar
faces leading the entertainment too, with characters like Batman and Princess
Anna paying a visit.
Halloween Party includes:
Free pumpkins and pumpkin carving available for the first 150 visitors. Carving
tools will be provided; adult supervision required, although Batman and Spiderman
will be in charge.
Stinky Pete the Pirate will be painting faces – make yourself look extra-spooky or
go glitz and glam! Free of charge, available for children over the age of 3 years.
Arts & crafts
Join the art table and let Princess Anna and the Witch Elphaba help you colour in or
paint a Halloween-themed picture, as well as enjoying some fun, arty games like
Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin, and Wrap the Superheroes into Mummies.
Music Makers Halloween Dance Party
Music will be playing all day – join in the dancing and singalongs with dance
ribbons, bouncy spiders, pom poms, tap sticks, musical instruments, a giant
parachute and much more.
Fancy Dress Competition
Prizes will be given out for the best dressed children at 12noon, 1.30pm and
2.30 pm in South Square.
