St. Austell Library and Playmake Theatre – (St. Austell)
St. Austell Library invited Playmake Theatre founder Mandy Hiscock to run open
workshops for young people creating wild and wonderful robots and cyborgs of their
own design. Mandy is now working alongside Jam First Theatre hosting workshops
with young people to create a large puppet robot which will make an appearance on
Saturday 18 th June along with the robots created at St. Austell Library.

Finga Ninja Warrior – Jam First Theatre (St. Austell) from 11am
Our comedy hosts/commentators Darren Seed and Larry Pears of Jam First Theatre
present the inaugural Finga Ninja Championships, involving finger puppets, people
and miniature obstacle courses. Heats will run throughout the day from 11am
culminating in the grand final at 3.30pm. No need to book, just turn up and enter on
the day. Mandy Hiscock’s Playmake Theatre will also be joining the fun with the
robots and cyborgs created during the Library workshops plus the much-anticipated
appearance of Andy The Android.

Polyrhythm – All Day Music Workshop from 11 am
Polyrhythm has a fantastic array of instruments for everyone to try, whatever age or
ability. Running throughout the day, the jam sessions will be held in the town centre
culminating in a musical parade through the town at the end of the afternoon.

Smorgers Bistro 12 noon – 10.30 pm Live Local Music & Spoken Word
Presented by Restormel Arts (St. Austell)
Hosted by Smorgers Bistro and presented by Restormel Arts the free live music
begins at 12 noon. Cornwall is rich with musicians of all genres and Restormel Arts
are bringing a wide range of Cornish performers to entertain, you might discover some
rising stars on the programme. This is also an opportunity to hear talented Spoken
Word performers from our local area. Fancy joining in? Bring your instrument or your
poetry along for the Open Mic opportunities.

Bash Street Theatre
2 pm – 3 pm Bash Street Theatre perform their fabulous family-friendly one hour
outdoor show The Cameraman to St. Austell for the first time. This free performance
of The Cameraman is a colourful musical comedy adventure and will delight young
and old alike.
